Australian compliant power plugs

Recently at a Monash Residential Services site a fire was started in a bedroom as a result of an international plug being inserted into an Australian power point. Only Australian power plugs can be used in Australian power points.

If you have brought an electrical device from outside Australia you will need to purchase an adapter from an electrical store prior to using your appliance. If you are unsure please contact your campus, Residential Services office for further advice.
